Hi, I'm Dave Goodman, a novelist and short story writer based in East Lothian, Scotland. I write spy thrillers, science fiction and more.

The Decrypt is my writing-focused newsletter. I send monthly roundups and occasional emails about new publications, sales, signed copies, events and other author stuff.

In cryptography, decrypts are the plain-text rendering of an encoded message. I hope this newsletter will function in a similar way, giving you a glimpse into the sometimes opaque realities of writing, publishing and life as a professional novelist.
