Well, here we are then. December!

It's started with rain, but rainy days mean more time for writing.

ON DECK: A cheeky couple of hours this morning, two long chapters reworked, 230 words cut in aggregate. A pretty solid morning. Plus an exciting email first thing, which is always a good start to the day. This evening I've got my rescheduled recording with WESU, and possibly a smidge more editing.

TOOLS: I've started migrating notes out of Obsidian, which is a bit of a pain since they're all in Markdown and Apple Notes doesn't support it. But having everything in one place is going to be worth it.

LISTENING: I'd forgotten about, but have just rediscovered, BBC Radio 3's Night Tracks, which is excellent for writing to and is also exactly the same length as my typical writing session. Here's last night's episode.

WATCHING: More WOLF HALL last night. An absolutely stand-out performance from Mark Rylance. If you want a masterclass in the unsaid sitting alongside dialogue, I don't think there's anything better on TV for that at the moment.

READING: Roaring through JUSTICE OF KINGS now and hugely enjoying it. The tension-building in the first third is exquisite.

LINK: An excellent guide to making a press kit for writers (h/t MK Hardy for the link).

UP NEXT: Full steam ahead on the SHARD sequential edit. Radio show recording tonight. A podcast recording this coming weekend. Perhaps some Decisions Being Made elsewhere. It's going to be a busy week, and a busy month.
