Daynote - Thu 26th Sep 2024

An early start today, waking up in central London on the Caledonian Sleeper. And as of this writing, I'm just about to arrive in Bristol for my day job.
ON DECK: A cheeky 1,728 words this morning on the train to Bristol. Something about trains really works for me. Maybe it's the spotty wifi and sense of forward movement, I dunno. But I love it. I might get a bit more done on the way back to London this evening, or I may do some beta reading.
Then tonight I'll be at the Goldsboro 25th Anniversary party in London, which I’m really looking forward to.
LISTENING: Enjoyed this podcast with Kathleen Schmidt that asks ‘what sells a book?’
WATCHING: I had a bit of a nightmare getting to my sleeper train last night due to missed connections, so I didn’t watch anything except the clock.
READING: Still reading OVER THE WATER from CJ Dotson. It continues to give me the creeps.
UP NEXT: More drafting on the SCARLET sample tomorrow and possibly a wee bit over the weekend, now that I have some momentum. We will see.
