Capital Crime 2025

My first ever panel!

An image of me with the cover of my book and the Capital Crime logo and dates - 13th and 14th of June 2025

I'm delighted to confirm that I'll be appearing on a panel at this year's Capital Crime in London, on Friday 13th June.

I'm appearing with S.M. Govett and Remi Kone, chaired by Brian McGilloway, on a panel called 'The One You Least Suspect'. Here's the panel pitch:

Dilemmas and Decisions: These debut authors, David Goodman, S. M. Govett and Remi Kone tackle the big "what ifs” and discuss how their characters' tough decisions drive their novels with the King of the moral dilemma, Brian McGilloway

Our panel is at 13:50 on Friday, followed by signings in the on-site Goldsboro Books bookshop.

If you're reading this you probably already know who I am, but just in case, here's the bio Capital Crime put together.

David Goodman is a bestselling novelist and short story writer who works in a range of genres, from spy novels to space operas. He grew up in and around Edinburgh and started writing in his early teens. After studying at the University of Aberdeen he lived and worked in Aberdeen, London and Edinburgh. His debut novel, A Reluctant Spy, came out from Headline Books in September 2024. He lives in East Lothian with his family.

I'm really, really chuffed to have been invited to Capital Crime. It's not my first crime book festival, but it is my first time at Capital Crime and my first ever panel appearance. And I'm really looking forward to meeting two fellow debuts and our panel chair.

If you're coming to Capital Crime, I hope you'll come along to the panel and please do say hello afterwards, especially if you're blog/newsletter reader.

See you in London!
